I have accumulated a body of miles like an artist accumulates a body of work. It becomes difficult to recall all but the most memorable of experiences. I have to remind myself that the arrival of a destination is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of a new one.
View from the drivers seat. Buffalo Gap National Grasslands on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota, Friday April18 2008 9:00 A.M.
Very heavily edited (to mask the squashed bugs on the windshield )
Aww man,I love the concept of this one John...the Big Rig,the open lonely road bending away into the distance and the best touch for me is the fish eye type reflection in the side mirror, awesome
Shame about about the purple though,we have this Love/Hate relationship me and Mr.Purple, well actually it`s just pure hate,we never got on ...s`funny,Miss Lilac and me enjoy each others company no end though
Anyway, nuff nonsense...I`d like to see you snap this one again another day John, when you have a quality natural blue skyline to go with all the other aforementioned & ticked elements
Oh,I`d also crop that slanting black off at the top my friend
Thanks, Jonathon I appreciate your candor. Not everybody likes purple. I was trying for a surreal, posterized feel. that's the way I was feeling yesterday. I should have stopped in Murdo and cleaned my windshield inside and out so the shots would be clearer, but I didn't, and because I was going south the sun was reflecting on the windshield like a demon
(Actually it's route 83 in South Dakota
Thanks, Mladen
I like the purple, too
Thanks again for the comment and fav
