Autumnfall by Corvidae65 Autumnfall by Corvidae65
Stop me before I upload again!!! :police:

I do have some fall shots I wanted to get uploaded, so...here they are :aww:

I tried some bracketed shots this fall and this one is a HDR merge in Paint Shop Pro 14 of three exposures. The sky was cloudy though not with the kind of clouds that looked good and the sun was behind the hills so the light was flat. Figured a subtle HDR might work to bring out the colors and tones.

I think this was shot near a town called Galena here in the Black Hills but I can't be sure--seems you can get good and lost if you just follow roads and not pay attention to where you are

I don't have many fall shots so don't worry about me stuffing your inbox. I just seem to have a little time to play with images this weekend  I hope everyone is having a great fall so far and those on the east coast here have battened down the hatches for the 'Frankenstorm' bering down on them

Anyway, enjoy! :aww:

Galena is a beautiful area, and kind of a hidden gem. Great capture, the colors are beautiful! :)

Thank you :) It's always good to find another South Dakota Photographer on DA :handshake: It's good to meet you! I've been in Rapid City for 18 years and had never went out to Vanocker Canyon before--just never had time, but I'll be back there again as I've found it's just as beautiful as Spearfish Canyon and has more access to photo opporunities. Mayhap we shall meet on the road sometime :)

There are a lot of little-known areas in the Hills that are full of picture opportunities! :)
There aren't many of us on :devart: from South Dakota, so it's nice to meet you as well! :handshake:

I haven't had much time for shooting the last couple years--been busy with work and life but I'm looking forward to doing a bit more soon and finding some of those hidden gems for myself. I'll be watching to see where you're going :+devwatch:

Thank you Jonathan :highfive: There was some great colors there for sure. I only got one day to do some shooting and I didn't get a lot. I can relate to fall passing way to quick :sprint: As did spring and summer. I suspect this phenomenon is related to aging in humans :paranoid: Wouldn't it be great to have time pass like it did when you were a kid in school on a beautiful fall day? Each second spent looking out the classroom windows took an eternity :lonely:
