Description

So, in my job, I go to a lot of off the beaten path places.  Places that were once beautiful before mankind placed it's ugly hand upon it as in the case of the jobsite I go to that is an abandoned gold mine.  Now an E.P.A. Superfund cleanup site the area bares the scars of decades of hard rock mining where gold was extracted using acids and cyanide.  In years past, this place wasn't a place for much of anything.  True, the grass grew and the trees lived on, the sun shined and the seasons changed and as my best friend :icontthealer56: observed, nature would take care of the problem in about 10,000years.  Still, in certain light and times, these places can contain moments of pure natural beauty...Like this one.  I had the honor of having these Bighorn Sheep keep me company while I unloaded.

(And, yes, they were pretty close when I shot this photo)  Look close and you can see the a couple of them are wearing radio tracking collars.

Great snap. The sheep have the same beige and white colors than the grass and the snow, they seem to be made of the same stuff. Also they are all turned leftwards as the blades of grass, like pushed by the wind. Very poetical correspondences...
