*Full View Please*

I managed to capture this shot after a lot of radar watching the other night--a small thunderstorm developed just north of town around 11:30 P.M. When I saw the radar turn from green to red I knew it would have some lightning so out the door I went :sprint:

It was a small, fast moving storm and I chased it for 25 miles stopping only twice to set up my tripod--the second time I stopped I caught several pretty good bolts, but this one is by far the best of the night. :w00t:

It sort of looks like the earth is repelling the bolt with a force field, but it's just a cloud to cloud strike. The distance to the bolt was probably 20 miles or so.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed seeing this as much as I did capturing it! :)

It might be more dangerous than big game hunting :nod: you never know where it's are going to strike and it can strike a long way from a storm.

Still, even with the danger of being struck I can't stay away from it :D
