Hi-dee ho folks!

This is a view from the Green River Overlook in Canyonlands Island in the Sky District--the end of the road, literally. I suppose you could go a little farther but the drop would be killer :D

A nice, clear day made for some nice shooting :camera: The sunrise was a bust that morning and the sky wasn't much until later in the morning, so I just shot the features I saw. This place is mind-blowingly huge. It's hard to imagine that most of the center of Utah is like this or even wilder! :wow: Can't wait to get back there! :eager:

This one is for a friend of mine named Chris :iconchildofstar: in Romania so he can see how huge and what this country is like in the wild, wild west :) I don't think he watches me but his wife does and she will make sure he sees :iconbiutz: Right?

 You reminded me of Jonathan's story when he took a certain picture of a certain tree...
Good you didn't go farther.

One must feel an ant in the middle of such a landscape.
I've been like 5 times to Utah, and I never left South Jordan...
(We always go there in winter, not sure if I would see anything but snow then, anyway... )

(I had to check "further" vs. "farther" - I didn't know the difference and now I do!) ;)

 It's a lot intimidating to be alone in that vast land. Make me feel very small and insignificant in comparison, but also fills me with wonder, creativity and very appreciative of my life. If ever you get the chance to travel to Canyonlands I suggest going to this district--the Island In The Sky. It's probably the most accessible with the most scenic parking areas in all the districts and it is closest to Moab, Utah.

Thank you my friend

 It's perfectly OK, Chris. I am very busy at this time of year also, so late comments don't bother me at all :)

This image is so amazing!
It reminds me of going to the cinema with my dad to see "The Duke", or Clint Eastwood!!

Thank you Chris :)

The landscape there does lend itself to those old western movies  I wanted to go to Monument Valley while I was there and that place always reminds me of the old Road Runner and Coyote cartoons :D
