No Meteors

Well, I tried to catch some of the Quandrantid Meteor Shower on January 3rd--touted as a short, but intense shower with as many as 200 meteors an hour, but in 3 hours I saw only 5 good ones and every one of them fell just out of frame no matter which way I pointed my camera

I shot 500 frames that night and this is the only one I will post. The rest are headed for the great deletion in the sky I also noticed AFTER the fact that I forgot to shut off my cab light. Must have been meteor fever or sumpin'

Anyway, Not much new going on. Just work, work, work hauling rocks (at least I get my rocks off daily...sometimes twice a day! ) prolly keep up the rock hauling until March or so then I don't know what for a while Not a lot of time for much of anything else.

2019 edit:  I haven't driven this truck in 6 years--hard to believe it's been so long already.  I retired from trucking in early 2017 and really haven't missed it much.  Folks told me that I would--and, for the most part, I don't.  I do miss this ol' truck though.  Of all the trucks I drove in 39 years, this blue Freightliner was my favorite.  She took me over hill and over dale and all along the dusty trail and never left me stranded.  I cried when I found out that she had been wrecked just 6 months after being taken away from me.  Parts of her have been cannibalized--the engine, transmission and rear differentials all reside in other, newer trucks now.  It's the trucking equivalent to organ donation, I suppose.
