We had an ice fog event a couple nights ago during the full moon. All night long, wherever I looked I saw great photo opportunities for what I thought would be really cool ghostly pictures what with the moonlight, fog and frost on the trees. :eager:

Too bad I work until 8:45 A.M. :lonely: By the time I got off work and out to a location the fog had lifted and the sun came out periodically. I just have no time at all while I'm working for photos :tears:

Anyway--I got what I could and I'll share them with you. I hope you like them :aww:

This was taken on the bank of a frozen over sandpit near the North Platte River in western Nebraska. I used a Cokin graduated ND 4 to darken the sky then edited in PSP 12 with curves and a touch of clarify.

Oh--by the way...the temp at the time I shot this was -5 F Brrrrrr!

Thank you for looking, commenting and faving :thanks:

I wondered how it is possible that I am the only one mesmerized by this view...
It is absolutely beautiful, John!!! Oh, how I would like to be there, cold or not, it wouldn't matter...
It looks so peaceful and quiet, the nature disguised in white, the frozen water so charming...
And the small brown branches add a touch of magic to the place, adding interesting colors, showing all will soon be green again...

I can't imagine a better way of looking at this scene than this one.
The composition is fantastic ... I just love the whole thing!

It filled my soul with energy and happiness, John... :huggle:

Thank you again M :iconhuggleplz: It was a beautiful morning that's for sure. The night before was a drag to drive in all that fog but I saw beautiful pictures everywhere I looked that night and couldn't wait to get off work :eager:

you're most welcome :D that is sometimes a problem yes :(
I know that there are tools to calibrate your monitor but
if you look at it on another monitor you micht have the same problem.
print is the only thing that is reliable but it might take some time
to get it right and it can be expensive
