Cosmic AgitationI can’t stand the stars--
twinkling smugly in ethereal

just try to focus on them!

eons old yet still
fresh as a daisy
every night waiting
for me to hate them

I can’t stand the way
they sneak across
the darkling night
like some covert blessing
leaving trails across the sky
and in my images

(I’ve spent untold hours
watching their movements;
I never see it happen
but it does)

They are not illuminating!
They make nothing grow!
They add nothing to society!

Except…

They make me wonder…
They are hard to ignore…
They capture my imagination…

I don't remember exactly when this was shot--this year, for sure. I remember the storm and the HUGE shelf that formed right before my very lens. I rememeber how freakin' fast that sucker was moving towards me too

I tried to take a quick panorama of it but it didn't work out and since I am all about the lightning I didn't worry too much about the rest of the storm.

I shot until the shelf was almost on top of me and broke down my tripod and camera and climbed back into my truck just as the gust front hit
