Shot last summer on one of my many forays into Big Sky Country.
Title and tunes--'Wild Montana Skies' by John Denver www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yBYYi…
Lovely natural scene , John !
Yes, the horses were quite content to graze while Mother Nature threw a fit behind them
Thank you Renard
Yup--it goes on and on and on and on and on and on...I should have invested in a box of mint cakes to entice the horses with--they sure had no interest in doing anything remotely interesting while I had the cam & tripod set up but as soon as I packed up to run from the storm they bucked and ran and nipped each other
Thanks big time brother Jonathan!
This has whetted my appetite. Maybe this summer I'll head west. Not only are the skies amazing in your home region...but that light is priceless.
As is your friendship, John...my deepest thanks and gratitude for the dedication. I'm sincerely blown away
Glad you like it, Richard! I don't know if you've ever been west so I thought you'd like to see some Big Sky Country. Me and those horses came to an understanding--they would graze while I took pictures and when I wasn't taking pictures they would run and buck and nip each other Then, when the storm rolled in we all ran like hell!
This is eastern Montana over near Glendive, Montana. I don't get over to the western side where the mountains are. If you should find yourself heading out this way drop me a note--I'd love to meet you and Merideth As for me and New York--you keep showing me different sides of it and I may have to see this little town one day closer than the George Washington Bridge or the New Jersey Turnpike
I want to pick up a new truck and drive to this area of the country. My current one, A Ford Explorer 4X4, is 14 years old. And although its still very reliable I wouldn't want to take the missus on a trip in which we break down in the middle of nowhere
Why do you only see if from those routes?
