Only the second ice-fog pic--I've a few more, but I'll save them. The only processing for this shot was a curves adjustment and the addition of my name. I used 2-Cokin ND 4 gradual ND filters

I'm home now--back to the unemployment lines for me :D The company cut me loose a week earlier than the rest of the group of drivers and the HR guy wouldn't speak with me. As Bill Engvall says, "Here's Your Sign"

Can't say I'm terribly disappointed really--I still want to get out of trucking. I finally found a purpose and all consuming passion in my life and that is photography. I know I'm not nearly as good as I need to be to make a living at this game, so I'll try harder to improve and find a job that fits in with this most intense need.

I'm way behind here on DA, but I'll try to catch up very soon :dalove: Got lots of deviations to view and comments to make and return (if you get a message from me that makes you wonder what the hell I'm talking about  that's me returning a comment from long ago

Enjoy and don't worry about thin ice--it's about a foot thick here  Thank you for looking, commenting and faving :thanks:

I thought the previous (previous to me) photo could not be improved... and you showed me it could. This one is still better. So... can you please use your good English to multiply what I wrote before by... let's say... 100 ? I have no words to express how much I like it.
Maybe just saying that I know that you can achieve your dream of becoming professional. You have a unique sensitivity for nature's beauty and you should not give up trying.

As your first forests made me see magical creatures, I can almost expect the fairies to dance here, throwing fairy dust sparkles all over the place... But that would happen at night, when the full moon illuminates the pond ...

Remember that everything happens for a reason... I know that one day, you will fulfill your dream.

I think you is gonna see some snow in the next couple of days sounds like  I heard they were talking snow as far south as panhandle of Florida :snowing: Glad I'm not driving anywhere down there--southern folks are nuts on an icy road  I was in Dallas once when there was an ice storm--folks were zipping around the Expressway like it had just rained. Cars and trucks were piling up everywhere so I just pulled oof the road and waited until it warmed up to continue ;)

Thank you Andrea :rose:

Maybe a little bit.....we'll see. ;p

People here cannot drive worth a crap when we even have just a little bit of sleet!!!! They freak out, slam their brakes & slam into each other.....f**ktards!!!! :threaten:

You know I ALWAYS love & respect your work! We would have never taken you on as an artist on DCA if we didn't have high respect for your work. You are truly an artist & a genius. We admire you as an artist SO MUCH!!!

Just takes all the fun out of driving in those conditions  I hope you folks escape the worst of it. My sister in Temple Texas has a foot of snow in her yard--those folks absolutely don't know what to do in a snowstorm  She's a northern transplant though and knows well enough to stay home until the roads improve

Again--thank you and Don both...for everything!

At least we have no ice - it's all fluffy white beauty. Still, some Southerners go butt-effing crazy when they see one snowflake. :giggle: My step-daughter & I played in it earlier. :D

You are soooo very welcome! Hopefully we can all meet for real soon.

A beautiful shot :-)

Great cool colors ^^

We are just having the 3rd winter wake by now :D
The previous snow almost melted when it started again..
The roads are in terrible condition in most the places.. very deep holes in it. I tell you. Vietnam is nothing compared to that :D

No, seriously this winter is harder than every one before. I think we even had some -17C in our area.. Thats about 1 F for you..and that's the lowest score of the last 50 years or something like that :D

but well.. I like winter. Though it could change to spring now in my opinion :)

Thank you very much :thanks:

Sounds very much like here only warmer :sun: Of course you folks have the benefit of the Gulf Stream (at least a little bit) in the Pacific to help keep temps up there. We have Canada to contend with--sharing thier arctic blasts with us all winter :threaten:

Oh well, I could move south but I don't like the heat that much :D

Stay warm and enjoy winter

:D but I think therefore you got a more 'comfortable' coldness..
Same as with heat.. you got a very dry heat/coldness here we have more moist air.. which feels a bit colder I think..

We had some days this winter which were darn cold and others where the coldness (though same degree) didn't felt so bad..

I agree with that--we have low humidity where I live. Summers here would be unbearable for me if we had high humidity--I'd melt for sure :D

Bundle up and stay warm
